Hotel brands are pushing bookings into ChatGPT this week, Sabre wires generative AI into SynXis, HITEC empties its launch pipeline and a run of C-suite chairs change hands from BCD to Choice.

Hotels move into the ChatGPT booking flow

IHG launched a ChatGPT app for trip planning and booking, letting travellers search, compare and see real-time availability, while Radisson and Accenture put more than 1,000 properties inside a conversational booking app of their own. The bet is that AI-mediated discovery becomes a real channel rather than a demo, though who controls the resulting demand — brand or OTA — is the open question.

Sabre folds generative AI into SynXis

Sabre added Concierge.AI to SynXis, bringing multilingual chat, automated pre-arrival emails and voice-assistant integrations to its distribution platform. Separately, Aven has begun embedding MCP across SynXis to make rates and availability for more than 35,000 hotels discoverable by AI agents while leaving pricing control with the hotel — an early signal of how the GDS layer plans to stay relevant to agentic search.

HITEC empties the launch pipeline

The Dallas show produced a wave of releases: Revenue Analytics debuted Climber RMS for independents and regional chains, Reeco paired with M3 and Corpay on procure-to-pay, and Folio Expense and TIPMO landed on the expense and tipping side. Duetto also extended BlockBuster with OpenSpace, pulling function-space pricing into the same decisioning workflow as transient and group.

Cloudbeds and Canary chase the multi-property operator

Cloudbeds introduced Cloudbeds Insights, a reporting and data-intelligence product aimed at large groups and multi-property operators, while Canary launched a Hospitality AI Agent Studio letting hotels build custom agents for reservations, sales and operations. Shiji, meanwhile, unified its Move platform so staff can work across PMS, POS and experiences from a single device — the workflow layer catching up to the AI headlines.

BCD, Choice and Lodgify reset the top table

BCD Travel elevated Marcus Eklund to global chief commercial officer and named Dave Mitchell Americas president, while Choice Hotels confirmed Dominic Dragisich as president and CEO after his interim stint. Elsewhere Lodgify named Shaun Shirazian CEO, Generator installed Xavier Mufraggi and Corporate Travel Management confirmed Ana Pedersen as permanent group CEO.

Tech chairs land at Travelodge, Access and Convene

Travelodge appointed Kinnari Ladha as chief data officer, Access Hospitality named Aravinda Gollapudi CTO and Convene Hospitality Group brought in Melanie Colton as chief product and technology officer. The cluster of data and product mandates being carved out at operator level suggests the AI push is now a hiring problem as much as a platform one.

Hotels adopt AI faster than they measure it

RateGain's State of Distribution 2026 findings show more than half of hotels using or planning to use generative AI, but fewer than 10% report a significant drop in manual work. Deployment is outpacing measurable productivity, a gap worth watching as the launches above land on operators still short of proof the tools pay for themselves.
